Pay Range: $20.00 - $27.00 Listed wages are based on company-wide ranges. Actual earnings will vary based on factors such as: restaurant brand, experience, education, geography, applicable minimum wage, unit volume(s), hours worked & potential overtime pay. Position Purpose: As a Restaurant General Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the restaurant's operations, focusing on achieving sales and profit targets, ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction, and adhering to company policies. Placement in the Organization: This position reports to the District Manager and oversees both the management team and hourly crew members. Key Responsibilities: Achieve the restaurant's sales and profit objectives. Analyze operational performance reports to identify areas for improvement. Stay informed about local market trends and implement effective marketing strategies with support from the District Manager. Ensure new products are introduced according to company standards. Maintain compliance with the El Pollo Loco Operations Manual. Ensure all menu items are prepared and presented in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Stay updated with company communications. Communicate product deficiencies and other issues to the District Manager. Deliver exceptional guest satisfaction by providing efficient service and maintaining a clean environment. Manage inventory levels for food and non-food items. Prioritize the safety of employees and guests, addressing any incidents promptly and representing the company in related hearings. Supervise assistant managers, setting developmental goals and providing performance feedback. Create management work schedules in line with company expectations. Ensure labor staffing guidelines are met for hourly employee schedules. Complete administrative records in accordance with company standards. Conduct employee and management meetings to foster a positive work culture. Facilitate training and development for employees and management. Implement corrective actions when necessary for staff performance. Acknowledge and reward employees for their excellent performance. Participate in the recruitment and selection process for hourly employees, projecting staffing needs. Manage personnel records and adhere to proper administrative protocols. Oversee cash handling and ensure security policies are always followed. Maintain compliance with HR policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards. Promote a workplace culture of respect and inclusivity. Experience & Education: Minimum of one year of management experience in the hospitality industry. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Core Competencies: Guest Focus: Attentiveness to guest needs and effective resolution of concerns.
