Join our innovative Global Energy - Power Generation team as a Senior Risk Engineering Consultant. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced professionals with a strong background in power plant operations. Enjoy the flexibility of remote work while being ready to travel up to 50% to connect with accounts across the U.S. In this vital role, you will enhance our Power Generation Risk Engineering capabilities and support the underwriting process. Your expertise will be critical as you collaborate with team members on field assignments, conducting in-depth assessments of power generation plants and their associated equipment. Key Responsibilities include: Conducting advanced risk assessments focusing on machinery and fire protection systems while analyzing potential business interruptions in the power generation sector. Providing expert consultative services to clients by identifying significant exposure risks, investigating major loss causes and effects, and developing comprehensive management programs. Leading training sessions on power generation topics for Risk Engineering and Underwriting personnel, which includes designing effective service strategies, mentoring, and conducting loss investigations. Managing client risk portfolios and delivering tailored engineering solutions that align with underwriting requirements. Promoting Zurich's products alongside underwriting professionals and agents across various business segments. Creating customer service strategies that minimize losses and optimize operations for our clients. Please note that final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle record background check, as the role may require the use of a company vehicle based on location and travel needs. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Power Generation Risk Engineering, or A High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or A Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associate's degree and at least 6 years in Power Generation Risk Engineering. Strong ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: 10 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering or power generation operations and maintenance. A military background in propulsion and power generation equipment. Experience in the broader energy sector is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Expert knowledge of exposure controls in the power generation industry. Certification in Risk Engineering related to Power Generation Machinery Breakdown assessments. This position offers a competitive salary range of $98,300 - $161,000, along with eligibility for a short-term incentive bonus of 15%.
