Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Construction Risk Consultant to join our team in the Casualty Lines of Business at Zurich. This is a remote role that allows flexibility while serving our Southeastern region clients, with a focus on Eastern Tennessee. Candidates from Northern Georgia and western areas of both North and South Carolina are also encouraged to apply. Please note that travel within these states may be necessary, typically 30% to 50% of your time, and a company car will be provided for this purpose. As a Senior Construction Risk Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the following: Implementing Zurich's innovative solutions tailored specifically for the construction industry to help minimize customer losses and enhance Sustainability and Business Resiliency. Utilizing Zurich's risk engineering tools and services to enhance customer risk management for those purchasing our Construction Insurance products, including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability. Delivering high-quality consultative services to customers by identifying risks and gaps in their programs that serve as the basis for your risk mitigation strategies. Fostering positive relationships with customers and business partners, working collaboratively to create effective service plans. Marketing a comprehensive range of fee-based services aimed at supporting customers in their risk mitigation initiatives. Designing and presenting advanced-level materials and training sessions for both internal teams and our clients. Providing in-depth risk improvement insights, conducting loss investigations, and implementing effective risk management programs. Assisting customers in developing tailored corporate and project-based QA/QC plans, safety strategies, and examining construction defects as necessary. Contributing to Sales Team meetings and presentations, identifying opportunities for fee income sales and cross-selling services. Final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check due to the company car provision. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience in Construction Risk Engineering, Safety/Risk Management, or Construction Field Operations, or A High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in these fields. Teamwork experience is a must. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Construction Safety/Risk, with prior Project Management or Superintendent experience in mid to senior level roles. Familiarity with Regulated and Non-Regulated Fleets. Experience with Data Center construction projects. A background in large commercial construction, particularly in industrial, medical, and educational sectors. In-depth knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management, and associated risks and exposures. Professional certifications such as CRIS, ARM, CHST, CSP, ASP, P.E., etc. are highly valued. Proficient in Microsoft Office and IOS platforms along with advanced technical writing skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills for effective engagement at both corporate and project levels. Involvement in leadership roles within extracurricular or community organizations is a plus. Your compensation at Zurich is determined by your role, experience, and location, ensuring fair pay in line with local regulations. You may also qualify for bonuses and merit increases.
