Housing Specialist

Position: Housing Specialist Location: Arcadia, San Marino, Greater Los Angeles area, or Pasadena, California Status: Full Time, Permanent Responsibilities Helping individuals & families find and secure affordable housing by assisting with applications for rental assistance programs and low-income housing Interview potential tenants to determine eligibility and needs, and guide them through the rental application process Assist clients in applying for and understanding various housing programs and subsidies, such as the Housing Choice Voucher program, public housing, and low-income tax credits Manage rental assistance contracts, monitor program compliance, and maintain records Qualifications Minimum of 2 years similar experience in affordable housing management along w/ managing people, projects, materials & information; equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable Policies and Regulations- Knowledge of company policies, federal, state, and local laws regarding to government regulations & agency rules that pertain to properties managed
