Position Overview: As a Senior Generator Service Technician, you will be crucial in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on our generators. You will also provide technical support to field Service Technicians and may be called upon for major troubleshooting and repairs at customer sites. A strong understanding of electrical systems, diesel engines, and power generation is essential. Your expertise will ensure safe operations while adhering to safety protocols. You will maintain and document all work performed, contributing to our commitment to quality. Principal Duties: Install, maintain, and repair generators and mechanical equipment following company standards and applicable regulations. Conduct preventative maintenance on generators, performing tasks such as oil and filter changes, and replacing belts as needed. Diagnose and repair defective parts, coordinating with leadership for any necessary outsourcing of repairs. Respond promptly to service calls, troubleshooting issues remotely or on-site as required, and providing support to deployed Service Technicians. Assist or lead in large field installations, including potential travel to job sites for temporary generator installations. Act as the primary technician for all large KVA generators and associated equipment at your location. Serve as a key contact for the region as our rental fleet transitions to remote monitoring. Mentor and train Service Technicians across Mobile Air/Resolute Branches and Depots. Assist with the installation and service of other equipment as needed. Requirements: Associate or technical degree in diesel mechanics, power generation, or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in generator maintenance, installation, and repair. Solid knowledge of diesel engines and a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety. Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter. Willingness to travel for installations, troubleshooting, and training at other locations, including overnight stays. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
