PRIMARY PURPOSE: To handle field appraisal assignments for our corporate fleets and insurance clients, with a focus on automobiles. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule same-day appointments, conduct inspections within 24 hours, and write estimates on-site. Achieve a daily target of writing 6 to 10 estimates depending on location. Ensure proper vehicle assessments and thorough teardown processes. Determine repair time estimates and required labor operations accurately. Make informed repair or replacement decisions. Identify and assess pre-existing damage; carry out complete total loss evaluations. Negotiate repair costs with shop decision-makers and establish completion dates per client guidelines. Review and validate all supplement requests. Provide clients with transparent information regarding vehicle repair cost estimates and the claims process. Manage and maintain accurate vehicle repair cost estimates. Negotiate fees for towing, teardown, and storage for vehicles that are total losses. Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the claims process. Perform additional duties assigned by management or as needed. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the quality assurance team and take on desk appraisal work when not in the field. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required. Licenses and professional certifications applicable to the line of business are preferred. If licensing is required for the role, completion of training and testing is required within 60 days. Experience Four (4) years of experience in insurance or body shop environments is required. Skills & Knowledge Strong technical knowledge of auto appraisals. Familiarity with client operations and labor regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Strong analytical and interpretive abilities. Outstanding organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal abilities. Strong negotiation skills. Good judgment and discretion. Able to manage multiple projects and set priorities effectively. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to meet or exceed performance competencies. Experience with CCC One is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a field appraisal position, requiring independent work and effective management of your local territory. You will be responsible for scheduling your daily activities. Mental: Ability to think clearly and conceptually; demonstrate excellent judgment, troubleshoot effectively, and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Physical: Requires computer keyboarding and travel as necessary within your local area. Auditory/Visual: Hearing, vision, and communication capabilities are essential. Pay Transparency Disclosure: In accordance with local laws, Sedgwick provides a reasonable pay range for this role. The starting pay range is $55,000 - $65,000 annually, influenced by various factors including skills, experience, and location.
