Job Description: The Department of Surgery and the Division of General Surgery at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) and Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP) seeks to recruit a board certified full-time general surgeon to serve as a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Director for Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in weight loss surgery. Advanced skills in laparoscopic surgery techniques are required. Robotic assisted surgical skills are not required, but would be beneficial. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional skills in organization, leadership, program development and mentorship. Teaching opportunities at the Boston campus are available based on the candidate's interest and skillset. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton is a 100 plus-bed community hospital providing full healthcare services just 6 miles south of Boston. Fellowship training in bariatric minimally invasive surgery. Must hold or be eligible for a full medical license to practice in Massachusetts. Must hold or obtain a MA Control Substance Registration and Federal DEA. Pay Range: $280,000 - $622,981 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
