Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 Wages vary based on multiple factors including experience, education, location, and hours worked. Overview of Position: As a Shift Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store during your shift. You will oversee staff, provide training, and prioritize outstanding customer service in a dynamic retail environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily store operations and ensure team performance meets company standards. Train and mentor employees to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain adequate staffing levels across retail and production roles. Assist with retail and production tasks when necessary. Ensure customers receive exceptional service at all times. Communicate production schedules to relevant team members effectively. Handle cash securely and ensure compliance with Krispy Kreme’s cash handling policies. Conduct thorough store tours for new employees. Keep yourself and your team knowledgeable about Krispy Kreme’s history, product offerings, and promotions. Model exemplary customer service skills and promote a positive atmosphere. Quickly and accurately fulfill customer orders, including products and change. Resolve challenging customer issues with professionalism. Maintain courteous and positive interactions with both customers and coworkers. Encourage add-on sales through suggested selling techniques. Be proficient in all tasks related to store operations. Answer phone calls promptly following Krispy Kreme’s greeting procedures. Obtain and maintain a manager’s food safety certification. Perform other duties as assigned. Equipment Operation: Operate POS systems and other necessary retail equipment, following the standards outlined in the Krispy Kreme Retail Specialist Workbook. Efficiently use drive-thru equipment to achieve fast service times. Ensure production equipment is operated according to company standards. Maintain charged batteries for drive-thru equipment. Possess a valid driver’s license for potential delivery responsibilities. Safety and Sanitation: Keep a clean and neat uniform while ensuring team adherence to uniform policies. Handle products according to the established procedures. Utilize proper cleaning techniques and comply with sanitation standards. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to perform all competencies outlined in the Krispy Kreme Shift Management Training Workbook. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. History of dependability in previous roles. Flexibility to work all shifts as needed. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position involves physical activities, and the environment may include exposure to conditions such as: Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Using hand-trucks and performing bending, stooping, and walking. Working in variable temperature conditions including un-air conditioned areas exceeding 100 degrees.
