Utility Worker

Position Summary: Join our team as a Utility Worker, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and providing essential utility and maintenance support within the restaurant. Your contributions will help ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for our guests and staff. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Thoroughly clean, mop, sweep, and dust kitchen and dining areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Requisition and manage supplies from the stockroom, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and distribution. Clean, wash, and polish kitchen equipment to promote a safe and hygienic work environment. Perform light maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and arranging chairs, contributing to the overall functionality of the restaurant. Handle minor equipment repairs as needed, ensuring all machinery is in safe working order. Assist the dishwasher when required, supporting kitchen operations during peak times. Efficiently remove dishes from the dish machine and store them properly. Participate in decorating for special events, adding to the ambiance of our restaurant. Launder kitchen rags and aprons to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Manage trash disposal by bagging and transporting restaurant waste to the dumpster at designated times. Keep an adequate supply of dish detergents and cleaning supplies to support daily operations. Correctly and safely use cleaning, sanitation, and chemical agents as required. Fill in as necessary to ensure smooth restaurant operations as directed by the restaurant manager or kitchen chef. Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor to meet the needs of the team. Job Requirements: Preferred experience in the maintenance field. Able to use various hand tools and power tools effectively. Previous work experience in a restaurant, catering business, or hotel kitchen is highly desirable. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
