The Loss Prevention Department at Hobby Lobby is on the hunt for a full-time Loss Prevention Specialist to help safeguard our retail environment. Why Join Us? As a Loss Prevention Specialist, your main role will be to provide discreet, undercover surveillance aimed at identifying and apprehending shoplifters. Unlike many roles, you will not be tasked with risk management, safety protocols, door greeting responsibilities, conducting audits, or inventory management. This role exclusively focuses on patrolling the sales floor undercover to deter and apprehend theft. Get to experience varied work schedules, with Sundays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas always off, plus the excitement of working at different stores within your area Competitive pay rates Mileage reimbursement for travel Health and dental insurance 401K program with a generous company match Competitive Starting Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour Key Responsibilities: Complete detailed incident reports Review security camera footage Apprehend shoplifters effectively and safely Review BOLO (Be On Look Out) notices Maintain composure in stressful, unpredictable, and potentially dangerous situations Build strong relationships with store management and local law enforcement Work independently, as well as part of a dynamic team Job Requirements: Minimum of one year of previous undercover, floor walking loss prevention experience Willingness to travel to multiple store locations Excellent communication skills Successful completion of a motor vehicle record check Background check requirements Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of the work hours Only applicants who meet the aforementioned requirements will be considered.
