Parts Delivery Driver

Job Description Position Responsibilities Safely deliver parts to professional customers and build strong relationships with them. Pick up returns and cores to ensure customer satisfaction. Promote current sales and loyalty programs by distributing sales flyers during deliveries. Conduct daily collections of credit accounts. Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to enhance average transaction value. Maintain cleanliness of the store, including floors, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. Handle general stocking, including truck stocking, back stock, and conducting cycle counts. Stay informed on product inventory and new arrivals to effectively assist with sales. Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable parts or services. Perform other duties as assigned. Success Factors Ability to drive safely and navigate effectively. Proficiency in using a delivery board system. Friendly, persuasive communication skills. Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently. Knowledge of safety practices and skills. Essential Job Skills Necessary for Success Effective communication in English (Spanish is a plus) to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership. Ability to read and interpret various operational documents, such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Basic math skills for accurate calculations in various units of measure. Flexibility to work various days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products. Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques. Prior Experience that Sets a Driver up for Success Preferred experience in the automotive parts industry. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Demands The employee will primarily be walking or standing, requiring the ability to talk, hear, and use hands for handling or feeling items. Frequent lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may be necessary, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This role is typically performed indoors but may occasionally require outdoor work in various weather conditions. Duties may involve working with mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and operating in moderate noise levels. Compensation Range The estimated pay range for this role is between $11.80 and $12.54 per hour for new team members. The final rate offered will depend on factors such as location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, and leadership roles.
