Primary Purpose of Position: Green City Demolition is looking for a hybrid position, Project Manager/Estimator to join their team. The Project Manager/Estimator plays a key role in overseeing demolition projects from pre-construction through close-out. This hybrid position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing scopes of work, and supporting bid submissions, while also managing awarded projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role involves close coordination with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams to plan, execute, and monitor demolition activities, including decommissioning, structural demolition, and site remediation. A strong understanding of demolition or construction methods, cost control, scheduling, and health and safety requirements is essential to successfully deliver projects and support the company's operational and financial objectives. Job DutiesPrepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and bid submissions for demolition, decommissioning, and site remediation projects. Review drawings, specifications, site conditions, and client requirements to develop accurate scopes of work and pricing. Plan and manage awarded projects from mobilization through close-out, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Develop project schedules, work plans, and sequencing strategies specific to demolition methods and site constraints. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field crews to ensure efficient execution of demolition activities. Monitor project costs, track change orders, manage forecasts, and report on budget performance throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site visits and pre-job assessments to identify risks, constructability issues, and opportunities for cost or schedule efficiencies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including site-specific safety plans. Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and changes. Position Requirements RequirementsPost-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in demolition, decommissioning, or construction in a project management and/or estimating capacity. Proven experience preparing detailed cost estimates, scopes of work, and bid submissions for demolition or construction projects. Strong understanding of demolition methods, sequencing, and equipment requirements, including structural, mechanical, and site demolition is strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Demonstrated experience managing projects through execution, including scheduling, cost control, change management, and close-out. Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to demolition and construction projects. Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and field teams. Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management tools. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
