We are looking for an analytic, motivated, self-driven employee to join our team! The Supply Planner is responsible for managing materials within the supply chain with the goal to ensure seamless and efficient processes, to minimize (inventory) costs and to meet customer demand. This role will drive alignment across SIOP processes, manage supplier relationships and foster collaboration between sales and logistics. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain comprehensive material plans based on demand forecasts and Co- ordinate with internal and External suppliers that align with material availability and actual customer demand. Monitoring inventory levels and implementing strategies to optimize inventory turnover, to minimize carrying costs and to ensure adequate safety stock levels. Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Communicate effectively (via email and video calls) with suppliers and team members, both during standard business hours and occasionally in the early morning. Analyzing data related to material usage, inventory levels to identify trends and improvement opportunities Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including logistics, production and quality assurance to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the supply chain. Submit requisitions to be converted into supplier orders and monitor production and shipments, expediting as needed to meet demand. Recommend capacity expansions and/or inventory builds based on demand signals. Review customer orders and adjust supply plans as necessary. Maintain material availability, fill rates, and inventory dollars as per the yearly MP&L Targets Freight analyses and recommend optimal transportation modes that balance cost and service. REQUIREMENTSEducational Requirements High School diploma, or GED Experience Requirements 2 years' minimum experience in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Inventory Control, Customer Service or a related role within a manufacturing environment Required Skills Proficient in using ERP systems Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills Strong knowledge of MRP systems, inventory management, order management and material planning Skilled in data analysis Excellent cross-functional communication, time management, and problem-solving skills HOURS- Mon-Fri- 8am-5pm Position location is Gastonia-onsite Position is 3-month contract position Must attach resume for consideration Pay Details: $30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
