Armed Security Officer - Energy Services

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an Armed Security Officer who will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security at a high-profile site. Under the direct supervision of the Manager, you will monitor activities, respond to incidents, and maintain the security of client property, visitors, and personnel. This position involves using appropriate levels of force, including armed response when necessary, and enforcing regulations to ensure a safe environment. Your responsibilities also include access control, patrolling the site, and preparing reports as needed. Be prepared for the challenges of a dynamic work environment that may require quick decision-making during stressful situations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: All duties are crucial to the role; additional tasks may be assigned based on business needs. Employees will be held accountable for job performance standards, which may be documented separately. To promote a safe workplace, you must adhere to all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions to superiors. Maintain professionalism and integrity in accordance with company policies. Duties Include: Control access to the facility; prevent unauthorized entry and manage visitor screening efficiently. Respond to unusual or emergency situations with the appropriate level of force, maintaining proficiency with required equipment. Foster a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors, addressing their needs with respect and courtesy. Communicate openly and provide relevant site information when needed. Monitor entrances and exits, controlling the flow of people and vehicles while ensuring safety. Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, checking for hazards, security breaches, and unauthorized individuals. Protect evidence in case of incidents and provide direction during emergencies. Prepare logs or incident reports using clear and proper grammar. Report incidents or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel. Assist with fire, medical, and other emergencies by following established procedures. Perform other related tasks as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred U.S. citizenship Age of at least 21 years Education | Experience: High school diploma or GED Two years of experience in armed security or law enforcement, or two years of honorable military service Background Prerequisites: You must undergo background checks, substance testing, and meet any applicable licensing requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS: The ideal candidate will demonstrate the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform essential functions, maintaining composure in high-stress situations. Responsibilities may include: Managing multiple tasks in urgency. Frequent physical activity including walking and climbing. Responding to emergencies which may involve detaining individuals. Using vehicles and potentially facing inclement weather. Handling sensitive information with care.
