Payroll Manager - Cleveland, OH Hybrid: (4 Days/Week Onsite, 1 Day/Week Remote) Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our Cleveland office. This role is primarily onsite and will oversee all aspects of payroll administration in a fast-paced professional services environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical payroll expertise, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, and a high level of discretion and accuracy. Prior experience in a law firm or corporate setting is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities:Manage and process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Serve as the primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now, including payroll processing, reporting, and system maintenance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and coordination with third-party vendors Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and audits Partner with HR, Finance and other Firm teams and employees on employee changes, benefits deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and special payroll runs Prepare and reconcile payroll-related general ledger entries and reports Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls Support internal and external audits as needed Oversee the payroll team members Manage payroll audits and lead all payroll related projects Qualifications:Minimum of 7+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred Completion of an undergraduate, Bachelor's degree. Hands-on, direct experience with ADP Workforce Now is required Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws Experience managing multi-state payrolls High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments What We Offer:Compensation starting at $90,000+, actual compensation will be based on relevant experience and skill set Day 1 Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage Paid Time Off: PTO begins immediately, plus paid holidays Retirement Plan: 401(k) with profit-sharing contribution Annual HSA Contribution Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: Tucker Ellis LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
