Happier People. Better World." This role ensures that merchandising and inventory management are seamless and uphold our operational standards. You will lead a team dedicated to achieving business goals and metrics related to sales growth and inventory management while maintaining a top-notch customer experience. Position Responsibilities Analyze business trends and apply critical thinking to implement improvement plans. Support the training and execution of Inventory Management best practices, including Shrink and Cycle Counts. Ensure adherence to Merchandising Management standards such as Pricing and Planogram Accuracy. Process sales transactions with a focus on providing a great experience for guests. Train and coach team members on Omni Channel processes to enhance guest interactions. Ensure proper care and handling of all animals per company policies. Maintain a clean, safe environment following health and safety protocols. Supervise backroom organization and adherence to operational standards. Conduct routine maintenance to keep store appearance up to standards. Train partners in receiving and stocking procedures according to Petco standards. Manage Return to Vendor and Hazardous Waste processes in line with Petco policy. Open and close the store in compliance with established procedures. Act as Leader on Duty, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. Foster a positive and collaborative leadership culture among associates. Exemplify and promote Petco Leadership Expectations. Other Essential Duties MODEL INSPIRING LEADERSHIP: Promote a motivating business environment aligned with company goals. PROMOTE SAFETY: Enforce safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of partners, guests, and pets. PRIORITIZE TALENT DEVELOPMENT: Build a strong team capable of achieving company objectives through continuous development. ENGAGE AND BE PRESENT: Lead by example and uphold Petco's brand values in a dynamic work environment. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; business/management coursework is a plus. 1+ years of management experience preferred. Valid driver's license required. Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills needed. Demonstrated guest service orientation and the ability to mentor others. Supervisory Responsibility Directly supervises Operations Specialists and Generalists. Ensures high merchandising standards and operational compliance. Coordinates attendance and operational procedures with Pet Care Center leaders. Fosters a safe environment for guests, partners, and animals. Work Environment This role requires flexibility in scheduling, particularly during operational hours, including weekends. Most duties are performed indoors, with occasional tasks requiring stocking and assisting customers, including lifting items up to 50 pounds. Adherence to safety protocols is necessary to minimize risk. Some travel may be involved. Contacts This position involves continuous interaction with guests and regular exchanges with other departments, including Distribution Centers and Support Centers to coordinate operations and events.
