Group Objectives The leadership board plays a vital role in the successful launch and ongoing operation of our program by: Providing guidance and direction to the program director in managing daily operations. Supporting the five key areas of operations: Leadership: Assist in recruiting and onboarding program staff and volunteers. Location: Research and secure facilities and transportation options. Logistics: Coordinate operational details and maintain positive communication with partner schools. Loot: Lead fundraising efforts, oversee budgeting, and manage finances. Language: Ensure all communications are of high quality and convey the appropriate messages. Group Makeup The leadership board should comprise: A minimum of three and a maximum of nine members in addition to the program director. Representation from at least three different churches. Diversity within the Christian community, including various ages, professions, genders, and races. Each member taking charge of one of the five key operational areas, with potential for multiple responsibilities per individual. Member Responsibilities Every member is expected to: Possess a mature Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith. Be an active participant in a local church that shares this doctrinal alignment. Complete necessary board member training specific to their role. Undergo a background check and child safety training every three years. Be diligent in executing the T-Minus Plan prior to launch. Engage actively in fundraising activities. Attend scheduled meetings consistently. Commit to a minimum of one year of service. Pray regularly for the local program. Member Qualifications Every member should demonstrate a proven commitment to the two core values of LifeWise: COMMITMENT: Members should be fully dedicated, passionate about their love for the Lord, and supportive of the gospel-centered objectives of the program. COMPETENCE: Members should possess the skills and relationships necessary to effectively contribute to the program's success. Note: Each member must provide contact information for a church leader from their local church community. Active membership in a local church is essential as LifeWise is fundamentally driven by local church engagement.
