The Senior Accounting Professional within our Servicing Division is responsible for a range of accounting functions and analyses that adhere to GAAP procedures. Key tasks involve managing general ledger activities, balance sheet and income statement accounts, ledger reconciliation, data preparation for journal entries, and financial statement generation. Always act in compliance with company policies as well as US state and federal laws and regulations impacting our operations. The targeted pay range for this position is $36.00 - $46.00 per hour plus an Annual Bonus, based on relevant skills, experience, and knowledge. Your Responsibilities: General Duties: Conduct daily bank reconciliations and record bank activities in the general ledger. Prepare monthly journal entries and detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including accounts receivable, prepaids, accruals, and other liabilities. Manage both internal and external wire transfers effectively. Review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts at month-end close to ensure compliance with US GAAP. Assist with quarterly and year-end audits. Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and established company policies. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues when necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned. Depending on your assigned division, you may also be responsible for the following: Servicing Division: Document initial recognition and subsequent fair value adjustments of Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs). Conduct impairment testing and valuation analysis of MSR assets. Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for non-recoverable advances and write-offs. Record transactions related to advance financing, including securitized advance facilities. Reconcile and analyze servicing-related revenue and expense accounts. Coordinate with Treasury to manage MSR financing facilities. Engage with servicing operations to validate advance balances and reimbursements. Monitor the recoverability of advances from investors, guarantors, or borrowers. What You Need: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent practical experience. 3 to 5 years of general accounting/finance experience is required. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Oracle ERP accounting software is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
