Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions focused on various aspects such as communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive care approaches. Provide education to patients and families to ensure continued progress beyond clinical visits. Support the occasionally necessary inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to guarantee seamless continuity of care. Maintain diligent and accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols. Engage in ongoing education to stay at the forefront of the field through collaboration with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first month of employment. Skills Strong familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies across all age groups, alongside a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired disorders of speech, language, and swallowing. Outstanding interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
