Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for diverse age groups utilizing standardized assessments and insightful observational methods. Craft individualized treatment strategies that target both immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions centered around language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish collaborative care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring holistic continuity of care. Maintain prompt and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through continued education and dynamic peer interactions. Education Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting your role. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices suitable for all age groups, with a keen understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Superb communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate a wide array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Robust clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
