A small but powerful precision shop doing what big shops can't: custom prototypes, tight tolerances, and complex parts for aerospace, medical, and military clients is hiring a CNC Machinist in Keymar, MD. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment where every part is different and your ideas matter. You'll run a variety of CNC mills and lathes, program in Mastercam, interpret challenging prints, and keep tolerances dialed in to the thousandth. This role is made for someone who wants to grow into leadership and long-term ownership. We're looking for a machinist who works hard, thinks critically, and takes pride in a flawless finish. CNC Machinist Responsibilities: Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and manual machines as needed Program parts in Mastercam and determine proper tooling, fixtures, and speeds Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD-generated designs Machine prototype and low-volume precision components across varied materials Maintain tight tolerances and make real-time adjustments during machining Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and uniformity Perform daily/weekly machine maintenance including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement Problem-solving machining challenges and collaboration on design modifications Support and mentor less experienced machinists as needed Uphold a clean, safe, climate-controlled work environment CNC Machinist Requirements: 3 - 6+ years CNC machining experience in a high-precision environment Versatility operating multiple machine types and adapting to daily job changes Strong blueprint reading and problem-solving skills Ability to independently set up machines, programs, and work holding Comfort working onsite Monday-Thursday, 6:30AM-4:30PM Grit, focus, and love for the trade Experience machining aerospace-grade materials or plastics like Delrin® preferred Mastercam programming experience preferred Desire to lead, grow, and help shape the shop's next chapter preferred Benefits: Future ownership/leadership opportunities Annual holiday bonuses 3% employer retirement contribution after 2 years PTO + full week off between Christmas and New Year's All major holidays paid off Climate-controlled 70° shop year-round Healthcare stipend or hourly pay adjustment Rural setting with no traffic or big-shop bureaucracy Small, tight-knit team where you're valued and seen If you're ready to build something bigger than parts, apply and let's talk. #LI-CM1
