Senior Design Build Project Manager - Water Services

Requisition ID: 42737BR Business Unit: NAU Job Description: CDM Smith is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Design Build Project Manager to bolster our strategic Design Build Water Team. You will be pivotal in leading multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and construction of large-scale water and wastewater facilities, as well as environmental and stormwater projects. You will report directly to the South Region Delivery Leader and benefit from flexible work options. Your role encompasses: Facilitating effective communication between project leadership in design and construction. Managing complex multi-discipline water/wastewater projects valued over $100M from initial concept through detailed design and construction. Building and nurturing strong relationships with major municipal clients in your region. Leading project delivery and pursuit teams to achieve client objectives. Collaborating with technical specialists and project teams to ensure project success. Assisting in the coordination and development of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) documents. Monitoring project budgets and schedules while proactively managing risks. Conducting high-level planning and programming analysis, including preparing technical documents. Advocating for best practices in design build, focusing on constructability, schedule adherence, and quantity management. Engaging with professional societies relevant to our clients. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of related experience. PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required within 12 months of hire. Travel may be required based on project needs. Equivalent additional directly related experience may substitute for a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with alternative project delivery and integrated design build project management. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is beneficial. DBIA certification is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven project management experience in multi-disciplined water and wastewater design build projects.
