Crane Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Join our dynamic team as a Crane Maintenance Technician! You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our crane and equipment operations. Your responsibilities will include supporting DOT inspections, performing preventive maintenance, assisting with Samsara installations, and conducting repairs on various equipment. Essential Functions: Assist in conducting DOT inspections on trailers, tractors, and cranes. Carry out preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance. Support technicians in various mechanical tasks as needed. Replace lights, mud flaps, and trailer decking to maintain equipment standards. Assist with air brake inspections and replacements to ensure safety compliance. Support the installation of Samsara systems for enhanced equipment tracking. Provide assistance to Crane technicians in their daily operations. Required Skills/Abilities: 0 - 2 years of experience as a Mechanic preferred. Strong organizational abilities for effective task management. Excellent customer service skills to enhance client relations. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Minimum Requirements: Valid Driver's License mandatory. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to read, write, and understand English proficiently. Physical Requirements: This position requires a commitment to a safe work environment as part of Sims Crane & Equipment’s standards. You must pass a post-offer/pre-placement drug screening and submit to a background check and motor vehicle report. Work will be conducted in a standard construction environment involving periods of standing, walking, and sitting. The role may require bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Exposure to loud machinery may occur, with necessary safety gear provided, including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes. Capability to successfully complete a DOT pre-placement physical and physical capacities examination is required.
