Create tailored treatment plans catering to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on various aspects like language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to cultivate unified care approaches. Provide education for both patients and families, empowering them to support ongoing progress outside the clinical environment. Occasionally engage in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to assure a seamless continuum of care. Maintain precise documentation in line with regulatory standards and organizational protocols. Engage in ongoing educational development to stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't acquired ASHA certification yet. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapies for a range of ages, with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing. Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility to adjust therapeutic methods to cater to varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong analytical skills and clinical decision-making expertise. Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.
