Job Summary As a Senior Solutions Architect specializing in Data Center Automation, you'll be instrumental in automating data center infrastructures for our clients, driving the evolution of modern data centers and private cloud solutions. Your role will encompass low-level design, enterprise infrastructure deployment, and seamless system integration. Additionally, you will mentor and guide other consultants on our team. This is a remote position with a home office setup supported by SHI management. Key Responsibilities Lead low-level design and implementation tasks, including architecture analysis, system migration, and systems engineering. Design and implement: VMware VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) in both Brownfield and Greenfield environments. VMware VCF (Aria) Automation solutions. Infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, including SaltStack, Terraform, or Ansible. Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell, PowerCLI, and JavaScript. Manage server virtualization and operations efficiently. Implement vSAN, storage solutions, and SAN technologies. Develop comprehensive disaster recovery strategies. Utilize VMware NSX for advanced virtual networking solutions. Implement robust backup and ransomware resilience measures. Integrate hyperconverged infrastructure solutions. Serve as the technical lead on projects and ensure accountability for successful outcomes. Collaborate with sales and presales teams to identify professional services opportunities through client discovery. Provide exceptional configuration and upgrade services to clients. Mentor and guide fellow architects and consultants. Participate in pre-sales discussions and design service engagements. Stay current on industry trends and technological offerings. Provide technical leadership in pre-sales and post-sales activities to enhance customer adoption of our solutions. Articulate a long-term vision for our Infrastructure practice and client engagements. Design, build, and maintain resilient systems within IT infrastructure. Strong coding skills, including writing, debugging, and maintaining code for task automation. Deep understanding of infrastructure components and orchestration tools to deliver technical solutions. Experience in developing detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and generating revenue through professional services. Extensive experience with large-scale IT projects focused on design, deployment, and configuration. Additional Qualifications Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Consultative approach to enterprise architecture deployment. Preferred certifications include VCIX, VCAP, VCP, VCDX, CCIE, VMCE. Other Requirements A completed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. At least 7 years of experience in solutions architecture or server infrastructure management. 10+ years of experience with VMware and associated products in enterprise environments. 8-10+ years of progressively responsible technical experience. Willingness to travel occasionally. In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies and software-defined data centers. The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000, with estimated on-target earnings (OTE) including base salary and bonuses/commissions between $180,000 and $220,000. Compensation is based on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
