Join our compassionate community and help us prioritize health As a Senior Actuary, you will oversee key Medicaid functions, including financial forecasting, capitation rate evaluations, drafting communications for rate advocacy, and conducting comprehensive business analyses. Your insights will guide market leadership and executives in developing effective operational strategies that significantly impact the organization’s finances. Collaborating closely with the Director, you will ensure that critical projects meet deadlines and workloads are evenly distributed among team members. This role requires you to exercise independent judgment on complex matters while working with minimal supervision. You will also be responsible for establishing and sharing best practices within the team, including peer reviews and documentation processes. Leverage your expertise to drive positive change Required Qualifications: FSA, MAAA or ASA, MAAA with a relevant advanced degree Bachelor's Degree 8+ years of pertinent work experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize effectively Passionate about contributing to a dynamic Medicaid team Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of experience in managed Medicaid Extensive knowledge of capitation rate development and regulatory frameworks Proven ability to simplify complex actuarial concepts for diverse audiences Additional Information: This position is remote within the US Limited travel required - approximately 4 times annually (2-3 days per visit) Travel: Occasional visits to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation: The salary range for this position is $129,300 - $177,800 annually, determined based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
