In the role of Senior Cloud Engineering Lead at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and delivering innovative cloud solutions customized for some of Oracle's most significant and strategic clients. Your extensive technical expertise will position you to architect, build, and maintain cloud-native environments using Kubernetes, container orchestration, microservices, event-driven architectures, and streaming technologies. Your practical experience will guarantee that our customers benefit from secure, scalable, and resilient deployments on OCI. Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement cloud-native solutions utilizing OCI and leading open-source tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Containers. Design and establish event-driven and distributed systems employing OCI services, including Oracle Streaming, Functions, and API Gateway. Automate the deployment and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code solutions like Terraform and Ansible. Collaborate with customers through pre-sales, onboarding, and production stages to troubleshoot, optimize, and encourage the adoption of OCI's cloud-native capabilities. Act as a technical advisor to advocate for best practices in security, scalability, and high availability within cloud-native architectures. Work closely with product and engineering teams to provide valuable insights, influence the product roadmap, and develop technical materials such as whitepapers and solution briefs. Mentor junior engineers and cultivate a supportive, learning-focused environment. Key Qualifications: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or architecture roles, with a focus on cloud-native technologies. Strong expertise with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, or ideally OCI OKE), Docker, and associated cloud-native ecosystem tools (e.g., Istio, Envoy, Helm, Prometheus, Fluentd). Deep understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven/messaging patterns (Kafka, streaming, serverless). Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Bash/Shell, Go, etc.). Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (like Terraform, Ansible). Good knowledge of core networking, container security, and IAM concepts in public cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting of distributed systems. Strong customer-facing skills in a technical advisory, pre-sales, or consulting capacity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant certifications are advantageous. Bonus Skills: Broad understanding of emerging trends and best practices in cloud-native architecture. Experience with compliance, security, and governance frameworks in enterprise environments. Insight into industry-specific needs and use cases for cloud-native solutions. Active involvement in the cloud-native community through publications or presentations. Compensation and Benefits: US: Hiring range in USD from: $100,900 to $165,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity, eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
