Job Description

We are on the lookout for a proficient and safety-oriented Heavy Equipment Loader Operator to become a valued member of our team at SRM Concrete. In this vital role, you will efficiently and safely operate front-end loaders and other heavy machinery to manage material movement, ensuring smooth production processes and contributing significantly to our operational success. Key Responsibilities: Operate front-end loaders and various heavy machinery to transport raw materials, such as sand, gravel, and cement, to the mixing plant. Load and unload materials from trucks and position them into hoppers, bins, or conveyors as needed. Collaborate closely with the production team to provide materials according to the established production schedule. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal safety and efficiency; report any issues or necessary repairs to the maintenance team immediately. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to minimize injury and accident risks on site. Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety standards. Assist with inventory management and ensure an adequate supply of materials for production. Work closely with plant management to identify operational improvements and implement best practices. Support other team members and departments as needed, including taking on manual labor tasks. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience as a Loader Operator or in a similar capacity operating heavy machinery, preferably in a concrete plant or related industrial environment. Valid Driver's License. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in industrial or construction settings. Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit. Physical fitness and the capability to carry out demanding tasks in varying weather conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent; certification in heavy machinery operation is a plus. Eagerness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
