Join our outstanding team at Brown and Caldwell as a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector for Construction! We are looking for a dedicated professional ready to make a significant impact on innovative water and wastewater engineering projects. In this vital role, you will carry out essential construction and field inspections while collaborating with our technical experts and leaders across various project sites. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive onsite inspections for water and wastewater projects, including new pipeline installation, rehabilitation, pump stations, and treatment plant upgrades. Perform daily site inspections to ensure strict adherence to approved plans, specifications, standards, and codes. Thoroughly review project plans and specifications to effectively enforce their requirements. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies in the field. Accurately measure and document pay quantities. Prepare detailed daily reports that capture equipment, manpower, construction activities, and progress photos. Review and monitor contractor schedules to ensure timely project completion. Document any non-compliance with plans/specifications and communicate findings with the Contractor's Superintendent through daily reports. Assist in creating preliminary punch lists. Conduct interviews related to labor categories. Support contractors in planning and scheduling inspections. Coordinate third-party special material testing inspections as necessary. Maintain comprehensive records of construction progress, changed conditions, and as-built drawings. Ensure thorough photographic documentation of projects. Deliver high-quality client service and clarity in deliverables while aligning with companywide initiatives and values. Promote project quality and adherence to safety practices. Effectively meet project budget and schedule goals. Desired Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction management industry, particularly in water and wastewater projects. Familiarity with the installation of various pipe types (welded steel, PVC, concrete, clay, stainless steel, ductile iron, composite, and HDPE). Previous experience in inspecting rebar and formwork installations is preferred. Knowledge of local design and construction standards, regulations, and specifications. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to complete all required health and safety training; strictly adhere to health and safety standards. A valid California driver's license and a clean driving record. Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is between $106,000 - $145,000, varying based on skills, experience, and education.
