This leadership role requires a highly skilled RN with at least 5 years of Behavioral Health experience and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within an acute care setting. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing patient care, staff management, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards in a fast-paced behavioral health environment. Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Provide leadership and direction to the behavioral health nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Supervise daily operations within the unit, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards for behavioral health services. Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and improve unit efficiency. Monitor patient treatment plans, medication management, and crisis interventions to ensure best practices are followed. Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and professional growth for the nursing staff. Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure adequate staffing and high-quality care. Candidate requirements Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida (or eligibility for licensure). Minimum of 5 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience. At least 2 years of leadership experience in a Behavioral Health unit within an acute care setting. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required (Bachelor's degree preferred). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date). Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date). Fingerprint clearance required.
