Screw Machinist

Job Title: Screw Machinist Location: St. Louis, MO. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented machinist with strong setup and operation skills on screw machines. Job Summary The Screw Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain screw machines to produce precision parts according to specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate screw machines (Acme, Brown & Sharpe, Davenport, or similar) Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions Adjust tooling and machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges Monitor production to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all safety and quality procedures Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Screw Machinist (preferred) Experience with single-spindle and/or multi-spindle screw machines Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills Ability to hold close tolerances Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Dependable attendance and strong work ethic What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, steady work Overtime opportunities Supportive team environment Potential for long-term placement or hire-in Apply Today!
