Exemplary Practice and Outcomes Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking. Provides relationship-based patient centered care that is consistent with population specific characteristics. Always partners with the patient and significant others using methods like bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds. Practices using current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model. Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner. Participates and supports performance improvement and actively supports/participates in shared governance at all levels. Professional Development and Initiative Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment and required education. Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses to ensure a qualified workforce. Evidence Based Practice and Research Promotes Evidence based practice, nursing research and performance improvement in nursing. Upholds all health care system policies and clinical competencies. Participates in data collection and uses evidence to address practice questions. Resources and Support Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum. Participates in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Key Skills; Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State) Current BLS/CPR certification Minimum 1 year professional nursing experience Require Critical care or clinic experience with phone triage Preferred Education: Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current RN License in the State of Georgia or Multi-State Compact. Current BLS/CPR certification upon hire. Experience: Minimum 1 year professional nursing experience is required. Critical care or clinic experience with phone triage is preferred. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations and practices to give and evaluate patient care. Skill in appropriate assessment, examination, treatment techniques. Outstanding written and oral communication and effective teaching skills. Ability to react calmly and competently in emergency situations. Ability to process large volume of patient information in an accurate and timely fashion. Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy, conditions, and treatment modalities.
