Hendrick Motorsports Location: 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262 Summary: Duties include preparation and maintenance of shock components, as well as documenting shock combinations and set up. Responsible for testing shock performance and for utilizing shock dynamometer to adjust shocks to match desired specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Builds shocks and stop bumps in an efficient manner under critical time constraints. Uses shock dynamometer to adjust shocks to match desired specifications. Utilizes database to record measurements and track component mileage for reference. Assists Crew Chief in identifying the best shock and bump stop combination for testing and utilization during race events. Assists in the management of parts inventory relating to shocks. Ability to operate and interpret shock dyno graphs. Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Accountability - Accept responsibility and account for his/her own actions. Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information. Troubleshooting - Determining the causes of operating errors and deciding the action to take. Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks in stressful situations. Communication Skills: Requires ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively with other departments and organization team members. Attendance Expectations: The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Requires an ability to work a flexible schedule. Physical Demands: Requires vision (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety glasses. Constantly manually manipulates, lifts/carries 10 pounds or less, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less. Frequently stands, walks, reaches outward, bends, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Occasionally sits, reaches above shoulder, squats or kneels, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
