Onsite Assistant Electrical Project Manager

Assist the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other members of the onsite management team in the overall planning, scheduling and administration of an assigned project. May be assigned responsibility for specific aspects of a heavy commercial/industrial project located in the north Phoenix, AZ area.Essential Functions And Duties Of The Position1 - Project Startup and Closeout Familiarize yourself with owner contractReview budgets and scopes with project managerAssist with contract buyout in accordance with corporate policy within 90 daysAssist with development of site specific safety programAssist with development of project specific quality programAssist with development of site logistics planAssist with development of master project schedule/identification of critical issues and milestonesAssist with subcontractor and vendor selectionAssist in establishing project procedures and performance standardsAssist with development of startup checklistCoordinate mobilizationAssist with and monitor permit processPrepare closeout logParticipate in and document punch list processCoordinate and document owner trainingPrepare O&M manuals and warrantiesCompile as-built drawingsCoordinate transfer of attic stockComplete subcontractor and vendor closeoutAssist in demobilizing site 2 - Forecasting and Planning3 - Expedite Materials and Ensure Information Flow4 -Document Control and Project Administration5 - Contract Management6 - Manage Project Staff7 - Manage Relationships with Owner and SubcontractorsEducation/ExperienceRequires a four (4) year Building Construction or Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience. Previous construction and/or crafts experience gained through internship or co-op assignments desirable. Basic knowledge of management practices and the ability to organize, a plus. Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost coding systems important. First aid certification, a plus.50-60 hour work weeks expected, full time salaried position with full benefits including health, dental/vision, life, 401k and matching, and more!
