This approach supports continual growth and development for our employees and stakeholders Summary/Objective: Reporting directly to the Division Manager, the Sr. Project Manager, is responsible for project objectives by planning, evaluating, reporting project activities, and providing strategic leadership on projects from ideation through completion. They will have substantial interaction with a range of internal stakeholders while managing several moving project parts simultaneously. Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned): Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables. Lead and evaluate projects and staff, including development and control of project deadlines, budgets and activities. Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects. Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure coordinated deliverables. Manage dependencies, identify and mitigate risk and with competing project initiatives. Manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques. Set up projects in the PE system. Establish PE fabrication schedules and objectives. Coordinate subcontractors. Communicate progress towards production, financial, quality and safety goals to internal and external stakeholders. Provides leadership the recommended resolution and/or escalation of issues that may impact project scope, schedule or budget. Negotiate change orders. Establish and maintain customer relationships. Oversee process improvements in projects that are likely to have few precedents and may have an enterprise-wide impact. Monitor/manage vendors and vendor relationships. May prepare, present, distribute project and program information to various groups, both internal and external to the organization. Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability. Responsible for establishing leading industry project management methodologies to drive standardization, repeatable processes, and consistent behaviors across all project managers. Defines and ensures use of standard methodologies, processes, PPM tools and reporting metrics (KPIs). Ensure project deadlines are met. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. 10 years of general and 5 years of project management experience in the structural steel industry - commercial fabrication experience is a plus. Prior experience managing teams of project managers in a fast-paced environment required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with FabSuite and Tekla preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, with experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints to meet project deadlines and expectations. Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management. § Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Initiating and fostering change management, process documentation, and managing the organization through the process. • Broad knowledge of systems and business processes in use for the relevant business areas. • Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics and reporting. • Process development and project management. • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills. • Read, analyze, and interpret business/financial reports. • Write business correspondence and proposals. • Manage operations and deliverables. • Good, detailed program planning skills and ability to manage from a program plan. Certificates and Licenses: • Current OSHA & PMP certifications preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory duties as assigned. The core operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours of work may change based upon the needs of the business.
