Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Alternative Delivery Project Manager with heavy civil, highway, and roadway experience to support our operations in Charleston, TN. This role involves proposal development, cost estimating, and on-site project support for alternative delivery methods, including design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, and CMGC, with responsibilities extending through project administration and coordination post-award by assisting Position Description ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES: Proposal & Preconstruction Support Support the Alternative Delivery Manager and Estimating Department in developing written proposals and cost estimates for alternative delivery and major project bids Develop understanding of bid scope and interpret, estimate, and schedule work from conceptual plans Research prospective project opportunities and investigate bidding requirements Review project documents to ensure all bidding requirements are met Complete, review, and edit technical writing for proposal submittals Document Control & Communication Maintain current revisions of project plans, specifications, communications, and records Distribute information to keep project teams informed of updates and changes Serve as a communication link between internal departments, engineering consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners Foster positive working relationships among all project stakeholders Project Coordination & Reporting Track progress, quantities, and quality of work for assigned project tasks Prepare status reports and provide internal reporting of daily activities Assist in developing project metrics and reporting processes Coordinate meeting agendas and prepare materials for project meetings Post-Award Project Support Prepare and submit project submittals and RFIs Prepare documentation for required permits ESTIMATING RESPONSIBILITIES: Bid Preparation & Analysis Perform scope analysis and quantity takeoffs Review plans and specifications to analyze quantities for overruns and underruns Develop understanding of crew composition, equipment selection, production rates, material requirements, and subcontractor support Coordinate all scopes of work within a project Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Obtain required bid bonds and specialty insurance quotes Solicit and negotiate with material suppliers and subcontractors, including DBE/SBE participation Prepare scope letters with clarifications and schedules of values Bid Submission & Award Submit electronic bids, including AASHTOWare Expedite and DOT uploads Submit paper bids in accordance with local requirements and complete all bid documents Complete owner/DOT award paperwork Project Setup & Handoff Set up project budgets in Viewpoint Write subcontracts and major purchase orders Prepare projects for handoff to the Project Team Position Requirements ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field Design-Build project experience preferred Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, PowerPoint) Experience with HCSS Heavy Job, AutoCAD, and Viewpoint preferred Communication & Work Skills Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills with high attention to detail Ability to understand written and verbal instructions Willingness to perform additional job-related duties as assigned Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work long shifts with non-standard break times Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet, in enclosed spaces, and walk moderate distances (½ mile or more) Ability to wear required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds occasionally Other Requirements Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical Equal Opportunity Employer BENEFITS: Wright Brothers is a Certified Great Place to Work, and we're proud of the positive work environment we provide our employees.
