CVOR Surgical Tech Job Details Location: Columbus, Ohio (ZIP 43210) Healthcare Setting: Hospital - CVOR Unit Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/23/2026 - End: 5/25/2026) Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:30 - 07:00), includes weekend and call coverage Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860 - $1990 Employment Type: Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Tech Qualifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum 5 years of CST experience in hospital settings At least 2 years of cardiac and vascular surgical experience Minimum 1 year CVOR experience Minimum 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing Proficiency in Epic charting system Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) CVOR Surgical Tech Responsibilities Scrub and assist in CVOR procedures including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacements, and other cardiac surgeries Maintain aseptic technique and proper handling of surgical instruments Support general operating room, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Document equipment usage and procedures accurately in Epic EMR Participate in crash cart, scrub, and circulate duties as needed Reprocess cardiovascular/thoracic instruments and care for scopes and fiber optic equipment Adhere to safety protocols including fire, radiation, and sharps safety Handle and label specimens according to universal protocol Participate in weekend and on-call coverage as required Experience the energy of Columbus while advancing your healthcare career as a Certified Surgical Tech in a top-tier hospital environment.
