Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a 5-Star not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that offers a variety of living options and services to seniors, including Outpatient Therapy. In addition to an on-campus outpatient therapy clinic, Lakeview's therapy team also provides services at six other locations near the main campus. We currently have an opening for caring and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistants to join our excellent team of rehab professionals. Physical Therapist Assistants are responsible for assisting in the treatment of residents as directed by the Physical Therapist in order to restore, maintain, or prevent the decline of patient function. Participates as an active member of the rehabilitation team. Pay Rate: $34 Job Description: Provides treatment to residents under the direction of the Physical Therapist. Records treatments administered in residents' medical records and in the department's daily billing records, in accordance with established procedures. Instructs residents, family, and staff in maintenance programs, as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Attends and participates in resident care conferences and rehabilitation departmental meetings. Maintains and continually improves professional competency by attending in-service trainings and utilizing other educational materials. Protects residents and staff by adhering to infection control procedures at all times. Ensures that services are provided at all times in accordance with applicable guidelines, regulations, and standards of practice. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and other departments within the facility, to ensure that Therapy Services programs can be properly maintained to meet the needs of facility and residents. Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
