Flexible Virtual English Tutoring for Adult Immigrants

Potencia tutoring is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity for volunteers residing in the United States. The sessions will be online and mostly in a 1:1 setting. Each session is 1 hour long. This opportunity is accepting virtual volunteers from the U.S. on a rolling basis. About the Opportunity With 95% of U.S. adult English language needs not met by existing services, we have been working to make quality language education more available and accessible to adult immigrants. So far, over 300 community members as trained Potencia tutors have contributed over 3,000 learning hours to their community members. This year, we are looking to recruit more volunteer tutors from the community who want to create a long-lasting impact in their communities. We believe that tutoring is an act of leadership beyond just helping others. After sign-up, we will reviewing your application. If you are approved, you will receive an email with the next steps. We will provide the Potencia tutor training handbook, as well as an online training session we run every month to answer any questions you might have.
