Chief Growth Officer (CGO) Industry: Public Accounting / Professional Services Location: Ohio (Midwest travel required) The Opportunity: Our client is a well-established public accounting firm entering its next phase of transformational growth. With a clear five-year objective to quadruple revenue, the firm is creating its first-ever Chief Growth Officer role to architect and lead this journey. This is a newly created executive position with full authority and accountability for designing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy across organic growth, cross-selling, and mergers & acquisitions. The CGO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with firm leadership, service line leaders, and partners to fundamentally elevate how the firm wins, expands, and retains client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Growth Strategy & Execution • Design and execute a multi-year growth strategy aligned with aggressive revenue targets • Establish clear KPIs, pipelines, and accountability frameworks across growth initiatives • Serve as the firm's primary catalyst for new revenue creation New Business Development • Personally lead high-value sales pursuits and strategic relationship development • Leverage a strong professional network across OH, IN, MI, KY, and WV • Build scalable, repeatable sales processes appropriate for a growing professional services firm Client Expansion & Cross-Selling • Partner with service line leaders to identify and activate cross-selling opportunities • Create frameworks that incentivize collaboration and shared revenue ownership • Deepen key client relationships to increase wallet share and long-term retention Marketing & Go-to-Market Leadership • Guide targeted marketing, industry, and go-to-market strategies • Align brand positioning and thought leadership with revenue objectives • Measure, analyze, and optimize marketing ROI Mergers & Acquisitions • Source and evaluate acquisition targets aligned with growth strategy • Support due diligence, deal execution, and post-merger integration • Ensure acquisitions convert into sustainable, scalable revenue growth Market Presence & Travel • Travel regularly throughout the Midwest to meet clients, prospects, referral sources, and acquisition targets • Act as a visible market leader and brand ambassador for the firm
