#Eng-IT-01 We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Engineer to support and lead EH&S initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role works collaboratively with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen safety culture, and drive continuous improvement in environmental and workplace safety programs. The EHS Engineer will support day-to-day site operations, maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications, manage environmental reporting, and participate in project reviews to ensure environmental and safety compliance. This position plays a key role in aligning site practices with the organization's vision, mission, and commitment to sustainability, quality, and employee well-being. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO regulations and stay current with applicable legal and regulatory changes Manage environmental permits, reporting, sampling, and waste management processes Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across site operations Develop and deliver EH&S programs, training, audits, and inspections Investigate accidents, near-misses, and non-compliance events; recommend and track corrective actions Serve as Hazard Communication and Laser Safety program owner and support industrial hygiene activities Monitor and manage environmental impacts including waste disposal, air emissions, and resource usage Support sustainability initiatives and analyze environmental data related to emissions, waste, energy, and water usage Prepare and submit regulatory compliance reports and evaluate air regulations for manufacturing processes Communicate environmental regulations and corporate EH&S policies across the site Interface with regulatory agencies to support operations and resolve compliance issues Manage compliance programs such as Title V Air, stormwater, landfill diversion, energy and water conservation, and sustainability reporting Support employee health, ergonomics, and workplace safety initiatives Maintain EH&S records, inspection logs, and incident documentation Develop and coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and training with local authorities Train employees on EH&S policies, procedures, and safe work practices Required Qualifications 5+ years of EH&S engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, EHS Management, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field RCRA trained and certified Strong working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations 2-5 years of air emissions regulatory compliance experience Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes Experience supporting compliance programs such as Title V Air, stormwater, municipal sanitary permits, landfill diversion, energy and water conservation, and sustainability reporting Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional, positive attitude with strong attention to detail Goal- and results-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM Certified Green Belt Certified Radiation Safety Officer and/or Laser Safety Officer ISO 14001 Auditor training OSHA 30-Hour Training Master's degree or other post-graduate education Manufacturing industry experience Experience with risk analysis, behavior-based safety, and project management Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
