Job Description Job Title: Specialist, Software Engineering - Mid Location: Northern Denver/Boulder Area (Full Time In-Person) Security Clearance: SECRET Our current base pay ranges (Only if CO, DC, NYC): $140,000 - $155,000 Omni Federal is a small business focused on modern application development, cloud, and data analytics for the Federal government. Omni Federal designs, builds and operates data-rich applications leveraging advanced data modeling, machine learning and data visualization techniques to empower our customers to make better data-driven decisions. We are a seeking strong Mid Specialist, Software Engineer to support the (U.S. Space Force Customer) for (Ground Management and Integration Project). This is an exciting new initiative where the(U.S. Space Force Customer)is mirroring Silicon Valley processes and capabilities to quickly deploy new capabilities. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients. Ground Management and Integration (GMI) is a U.S. Space Force program supporting the Resilient MEO Missile Warning and Tracking (RMMWT) mission by providing the ground system architecture, integration, and management capabilities necessary to operate a distributed, resilient space sensing enterprise. The program focuses on the development and sustainment of software-intensive ground capabilities, platform integration, and cross-domain interoperability to enable command, control, mission management, and data integration across current and future space assets. GMI emphasizes modular, scalable, and platform-aligned solutions to support incremental capability delivery and long-term mission resilience. Position Description (what you will do):GMI DevSecOps - Blueprint - IL5 GovCloud: This task encompasses the initial establishment and configuration of a comprehensive DevSecOps environment in IL5 GovCloud using the existing Blueprint codebase based on BigBang. This environment will serve as the foundation for GMI baseline development, providing a secure, scalable, and efficient ecosystem that complies with government cloud requirements to support development activities. OpenShift Admin, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitLab Pipelines Required Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field 4+ years of experience in software test and integration on DoD or IC software programs Experience developing and integrating software components in an agile team environment Hands-on experience supporting sprint and release cycles Experience building, testing, and debugging software from unit level through system integration Software Test & IntegrationDevelop and integrate MSOC software features during sprint cycles using Agile Definitions of Done Design, build, and test software at unit, integration, and system levels Create automated tests to support code quality and prevent regressions Work with other engineers to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes Support design reviews and technical planning for standard and edge scenarios Test Models, Simulation & Test HarnessesSupport development of test utilities, simulations, and interface stubs Ensure new capabilities integrate correctly with existing services and interfaces Verify data flows, APIs, and service interactions through structured testing Expand test coverage as features and interfaces evolve Collaboration & DocumentationParticipate in team and cross-team technical meetings Coordinate with systems, integration, and test teams to align development and integration plans Contribute to technical documentation and review engineering artifacts Document defects, design decisions, and integration notes clearly Travel: Occasional travel (up to 10%) to support program reviews, integration activities, and coordination meetings at prime contractor or government facilities.(Nice-to-haves) Credentials & ClearanceMaster's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment workflows Familiarity with containerized environments and cloud-based development platforms Experience supporting technical deliverables for government program reviews Prime-Sub Relationship ExperiencePrior experience supporting DoD programs as a subcontractor Demonstrated ability to operate within prime contractor engineering processes, tools, and configuration management frameworks Experience delivering contractual artifacts to the prime in support of government reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) Benefits:3 weeks PTO 11 Paid Holidays 401(k) matching Continuing education 50% premium coverage of Health, Dental, Vision
