Registered Nurse - Cardiac Neuro Tele (Med/Tele)Alternate Job Titles: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Cardiac/Neuro RN Acute Care Telemetry Nurse RN - Med/Surg Tele Telemetry Unit Nurse Location: Sanford, FL Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Job Details Position Type: Direct Hire Shifts Available: Days (Rotating Weekends) Nights (Rotating Weekends) Start Date: ASAP Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts Job Summary As a Cardiac Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiac and neurological conditions, including post-CABG, MI, chest pain, and telemetry-monitored cases. This 27-bed unit emphasizes patient safety, high acuity observation, and compassionate care. You will perform assessments, administer medications, and deliver health education while ensuring compliance with hospital and state regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document patient conditions. Administer medications and treatments under authorized prescriptions. Monitor telemetry and cardiac/neuro patient responses. Educate patients and families on wellness and recovery. Promote a safe and high-satisfaction care environment. Required Experience 1+ year of recent acute care RN experience (within last 1-2 years) Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred Valid FL RN License or Compact RN License (must apply for FL license) Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications NIHSS Certification required within 30 days of hire Nice-to-Have Experience 3+ years of RN experience with multi-state compact license Experience in post-cardiac care, telemetry, or neuro-medical units Required Skills Acute patient monitoring (telemetry, post-CABG, neuro) Medication administration and IV therapy Cardiac and neuro patient assessment Patient and family communication Emergency response skills Preferred Skills NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certified Care coordination and discharge planning Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) Additional Skills Collaborative team-based care delivery Strong documentation and organizational skills High emotional intelligence in fast-paced environments About GTT GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned enterprise.
