Position Summary Coordinate efforts with the pharmacist to ensure that all medication histories are collected and reviewed in a timely manner. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Communicate effectively with all patient populations to gather accurate medication histories. • Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, family members and others outside the hospital to gather further medication history information. • Demonstrate professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills in all communications with patients, team members and other health care providers. • Accurately document patients' medication histories in the medical chart. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Attends department meetings, facility in-services, and special corporate events and/or meetings. • Assumes the responsibility for professional growth and development. Qualifications Education/Training High School Diploma or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification Must be currently registered with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years Experience Two (2) years of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.
