AMMONIA AND REFRIGERATION MANAGER LOCATION: Nashville Metropolitan Area COMPENSATION: $110,000 - $142,000 COMPANY TYPE: Leading Global Food Manufacturer MUST HAVE: Significant experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems Our client is a growing global food manufacturer currently constructing a state-of-the-art facility. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the installation of a new 38,000lb ammonia system. Support plant construction to ensure full operational status by April. Collaborate with contractors during the initial equipment commissioning phase. Learn system specifications to manage future maintenance and operations. Develop standard operating procedures for the new refrigeration department. Manage capital project tasks in a project manager capacity. Perform preventative maintenance on all ammonia and utility systems. Execute routine inspections to ensure peak system performance levels. Supervise the daily activities of the refrigeration maintenance team. Ensure the facility remains in total compliance with PSM. Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime in the plant. Lead the startup and stabilization of cooling and freezing units. REQUIREMENTS Prior experience setting up and installing large ammonia systems. Strong technical background in industrial refrigeration and project management. Ability to lead maintenance operations in a startup environment.
