The Manual Machinist will perform full setups, create custom workholding, and verify part quality to tight tolerances while collaborating with a team that values craftsmanship and accuracy. Key Responsibilities • Set up and operate manual mills and lathes (including Bridgeport).• Perform complete setups and create custom workholding for unique parts.• Read blueprints/drawings and apply tolerances to meet specifications.• Measure with micrometers, calipers, gauges; complete first-article/self-inspection.• Machine high-mix, low-volume parts with consistency and efficiency.• Troubleshoot machining challenges and propose solutions.• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace (5S & safety standards). What You Bring • Proven manual machining experience on mills and lathes.• Strong blueprint reading, measurement, and inspection skills.• Ability to plan operations and work independently on one-off parts.• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Physical Requirements • Stand, bend, and move throughout the shift; lift up to 70 lbs (use lifting aids as needed).
