Position Description JobSummary: Precisioncontract machining business is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to workin the Milling Department. Preferably experienced with DMG Mori Machines. TheCNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC machinery to produce precision componentswhile maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment. Dutiesand responsibilities: Operate equipment to standard work practices within all quality and performance standards Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements Read and interpret blueprints Follow production work orders and documents Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork Maintain a safe and clean work area Perform complex setups on new and repeat parts per work instructions Perform other duties as assigned. Experience deburring parts Ability to detect tool wear and make offset changes Experience performing set-ups WorkEnvironment: While performing theduties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanicalparts. The noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate. PhysicalDemands: The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of the job. Regularly required to talk or hear Frequently required to stand, walk Regularly use hands to handle or feel Regularly reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Required close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 5-7 years related experience - preferably in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Good interpersonal skills and works well with all members of the organization. DMG Mori and HAAS experience a plus Experience Troubleshooting dimensional and tooling issues. Experience with tooling, feeds/speeds, tool life and optimizing Part process and fixture design experience a plus Optimize process to achieve maximum efficiency Mechanical inspection knowledge and GD&T Able to read and edit G-Code/M-Code to optimize parameters OtherDuties: Please note this jobdescription is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list ofactivities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee forthis job.
