Serves as front line point of contact on behalf of company on bid day. Prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff and scope of work. Coordinates total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned. Negotiates with vendors to insure quality and lowest cost possible on bid items. Supports other department personnel as required; may include preparing estimates in other disciplines and assisting Project Mangers with job start up and change order cost. Qualifications 4 or more years estimating or cost control and or engineering experience in the commercial or industrial construction industry; design quality project experience preferred. Strong computer skills (Excel) and exceptional knowledge/experience utilizing complex project management software and construction estimating software required. Ability to interpret computerized cost data and system and reading/comprehending blueprints. Strong math, reading, organizational, and analytical/critical thinking skills. Agility to work effectively as an estimating team member. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, strong communication (written/verbal), problem solving, analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills. Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check. Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old
