JOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE: Coordinator of Computer Operations and Applications QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and/or a minimum of five (5) years experience in managing computer operations and applications and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the area of supervision. Administration and communication skills. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Current residency in New Jersey; approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency after one year of employment. REPORTS TO: Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Technology SUPERVISES: System Administrator Financials Supervisor of Applications Systems Administrator SIS Web Developer Instructional Technology Coach PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Coordinator Computer Operations and Applications supports the CIO by managing daily IT infrastructure (servers, cloud, systems, applications) activities, teams, budgets, and processes to ensure smooth business functions and goal achievement. The Coordinator is responsible for staff supervision, performance tracking, process optimization, and inter-departmental communication. This role is crucial for maintaining day-to-day efficiency and supporting the CIO in achieving broader organizational objectives, with duties varying from high-level planning to hands-on problem-solving. Operational Management: Overseeing daily operations, resource allocation, and facility use. Staff & Team Leadership: Supervising staff, providing training, support, and leadership. Supervising IT staff, managing workloads, training, hiring and fostering morale. Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies and implementing strategies to optimize workflows. System Management: Overseeing servers, cloud services, storage, networks (LAN/WAN), virtualization, and operational software. Strategic Planning: Developing IT operations strategy, integrating systems, and aligning technology with business goals. Project Management: Implementing IT Governance Standards and managing technology projects. Security & Risk: Identifying security exposures, implementing controls (encryption, access), and ensuring data privacy. Stakeholder Liaison: Serving as a point of contact for other departments, resolving issues, and communicating effectively. Budget & Performance: Assisting with budget management and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). Policy Implementation: Helping to develop and implement operational policies. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) months Evaluated by the CIO - Chief Information Officer - Technology Compensation and benefits as established by the collective negotiations' agreement.
