Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Location: Tucson, TZ This is an onsite position What's key for the RRP is that this individual has significant experiences in software development and testing specifically in test automation framework design and implementation (not just testing experience but creation of the framework). Also, an ideal candidate should also have related experience in a medical diagnostics or other electro-mechanical area (so experience with framework design and implementation with websites or banking SW is not as ideal). The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our agile Software Development Team within Roche Pathology Lab R&D in Tucson, AZ USA. This role extends beyond just identifying defects and will be vital in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, automation frameworks, and test cases. Who You Are: You have a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in software development and testing, with asignificantfocus on test automation framework design and implementationYou have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, functional, non-functional, regression, integration, system, acceptance). You have significant experience with industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG). You are adept in at least one object-oriented programming and scripting language used for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, C#). You are proficient using CI/CD tools and test management tools and processes (e.g., Jira, Client ALM, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). You have experience using AI tools to perform automated test planning, development, execution, analysis and reporting. You have proven experience in mentoring and training junior team members. You possess excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. You have a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
